What Mystery Walks Among Us?

An Excerpt From Crone Chronicles: A Journal of Conscious Aging

WHO IS SHE? WHAT MYSTERY WALKS AMONG US?
LISTEN!
SHE is thorny mutterings behind a rose garden, all withered under a relentless sun.
WATCH!
SHE is a hard, swift, bulky shadow lost at the corner of your glance.
SHE is a chill sent through the heated boardroom where power sits plotting its own death;
SHE is old bones in ample garb, eyes full of stars and hands full of soft strawberries...
STOP!
SHE is gaining on you.
TURN! Her embrace is all you have left:
fearsome enough to squeeze the war out of generals;
strange enough to peel your body off your soul;
broad enough to surround planets, twice over;
delicate enough to stroke a wounded hummingbird.
SHE IS HERE.
We are saved.
