Solar Power Generation

Solar Power Generation, a majority woman-owned company, was founded before Christmas of 2001, with the idea of educating the public and providing alternative energy products at an affordable price.

Solar Power Generation, Inc. provides solar and alternative energy education, news, and products. These products include educational kits and toys, alternative energy books, radios and flashlights, fans, battery chargers, solar panels, complete solar systems, outdoor lighting and motion detection, inverters, solar hot water products, wind power equipment, and energy efficient appliances. We can facilitate solar electric and solar hot water installations. We are located in Orlando, Florida and Dallas, Texas.

Cathy Sana is president of Solar Power Generation, Inc. of Florida. She is certified by the state of Florida to do solar electric installations. Cathy is a recent graduate from GA Tech in electrical engineering where she set a world record in an undergraduate research project in lowering reflectance of bare silicon(to 3.8% in 1994 as reported by SNL at the Second IEEE World Conference on Photovoltiac Energy Conversion in Hawaii in Dec. 1995) with her husband, vice-president Peyman Sana (who set the world record of 17.8% efficiency on multicrystaline silicon small area solar cells, reported in numerous papers). She also works with computer modeling of electrical properties of materials and has recently co-authored a paper on the subject. The Sanas own 90% the stock of the company together - Leticia Isqueirdo, our Orlando Manager owns the other 10%.
