Natural Wool Products
I discovered LANA products while working and living in Sweden as a new
mother and midwife in the early 90's. I found them "delightful" and decided
to import them when I moved back to the U.S. with my husband and children.
As a lactation consultant, I've found no other breastfeeding pad that can
measure up to LANA nursing pads.
LANA pure natural wool products were developed by a Danish nurse. The
philosophy behind LANA products is to ensure the utmost comfort and
well-being of our babies, and to help make breastfeeding the wonderfully
positive experience it should and can be. The collection is made of
soothingly soft ecological wool, which still contains its natural lanolin.
Only the finest merino wool is used - knitted and brushed to incredible
softness. The seams are sewn on the outside of the fabric to avoid skin
irritation.
The choice of natural, untreated wool makes LANA products particularly
suitable for the growing number of children with allergies. Often those who
believe they are allergic to wool are actually reacting to the harsh
chemicals used to extract the lanolin from the wool - chemicals which are not
used on LANA wool. The wool has been tested to show it does not contain
dustmites - a cause of allergies among children and adults alike.
Natural wool holds many unique and forgotten properties: it can absorb
up to 40% of its own weight without feeling wet. As the wool absorbs
moisture, warmth is created, yet it breathes to maintain a comfortable
temperature - even in warm climates. Also as the wool absorbs moisture, the
lanolin is converted to lanolin-soap, which has an antibacterial effect,
giving the wool self-cleansing properties. The clothes are so soft! -
exactly what you'd like to swaddle your little baby in.
As a midwife and lactation consultant, LANA products are something I
feel I can stand behind 100%. Perfect for families concerned with the health
