Work/ Career

I would like the know the problems that most career women face. Under what circumstances will women decide to give up their jobs? Regards, Maggie

This is just a guess, but I would assume that most women leave their jobs, because they no longer want to juggle two jobs--one inside the home and one outside. Under this rubric is the reality that the workplace is rarely a "parent friendly" job--the pressure of face time, standard hours, the lack of support for child care and the understanding that parenting--in an ideal situation--involves two. Additionally--women are rarely adequately rewarded--financially or emotionally--in the workplace--placing a further burden on them--and a devaluation of their jobs.
