My daughter is a senior and has to do a research paper on the effects of women in the work place. She has 2 books: one is Alter Ambitions and Talking from 9-5. Do you have any suggestions on where or how to begin?

Your mother wrote to Feminist.com and asked if I could send some information that would help with your project on women in the work place. Besides the two works that you already have, Alter Ambitions and Talking from 9-5 - I suggest that you contact 9to5, National Association of Working Women. There is also a women's bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor. Also, you should reference the work of Arlie Hochschild, who has written two books on women's "two jobs"-one inside the home and one outside. Visit the Feminist.com Bookstore for these books and other ideas.
