I'd be glad to try and help
you with your report. The role
of women is quite a big one
however--since every woman is
different you are talking about
so many different roles. And
that is one of the benefits
the century has brought. For
instance, I imagine if you looked
back at the beginning of the
century you are more likely
to find women leading similiar
lives. Now, because of the progress
women have made they have more
choices available to them and
therefore, can choose to be
different from one another.
Today, women can be astronauts
or they can choose to stay home
and raise their children. They
can choose to remain single
or get married at the age of
20. So much has changed.
Here's a sampling of the rights
that women have won over the
past 100 + years--the right
to vote, the right to own property,
the right to equal credit, the
right to birth control, the
right to divorce and to custody....and
with each of these rights come
others.
