Women's History

I'm an elementary school teacher and am developing a presentation of famous speeches for my students. Do you know where I could obtain audio files of speeches given by women (e.g. Sally Ride, Sanda O'Connor)? Thanks for your help. - Phil

Dear Phil - First I want to say what how lucky your students are to have a teacher who cares enough to teach all of history. Second, I have a suggestion about where to go: the National Women's Hall of Fame in Senaca Falls, NY (the site of the first National Women's conference) at 315-568-8060. There is also a project called the National Women's History Project. See their catalogue and their web site for more ideas.
