Help! I'm doing a huge paper on Joan of Arc and I have to figure out if she was a feminist or not, so if u could help me out in anyway I would love it!

-Carson

Dear Carson,

From what I know, Joan of Arc was a feminist in her day. She stood by her beliefs, she pushed the English out of her French town and became a revered soldier -- though some would argue that her being a soldier would disqualify her as a feminist since the military isn't an institution generally supported by feminists. Joan of Arc died because she refused to compromise her beliefs. I hope that helps.
