Women's History

Hi Amy,

My name is Susanna. I am also a junior in High School in California. For my United States History class I am doing a research paper on the women's Suffrage Movement.

My Question for you about this subject is: Do you know what other rights women gained in the 1900's?

I know they began to gain the right to vote. I am just not sure of what else.

Susanna,

I don't know the exact timing of things, but around that time women also gained the right to inheritance, to own property, custody of children, divorce.

Perhaps the National Women's History Project can help you further.

Good luck,

-- Amy
