Please send information pertaining to the laws/consequences of rape. This is for a class. Thank you, Michelle

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. For information about Rape laws/consequences there are a couple of books I recommend that you reference:

  • Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape by Susan Brownmiller
  • License to Rape: Sexual Abuse of Wives by David Finkelhor and Kersti Yllo
  • Men Who Rape: The Psychology of the Offender by A. Nicholas Groth
  • Rape In Marriage by Diana E.H. Russell
  • Sexual Violence: Our War Against Rape by Linda A. Fairstein
  • A Woman Scorned: Acquaintance Rape on Trial by Peggy Reeves Sanday
  • I Never Called It Rape by Robin Warshaw.
All of these sources should be able to answer your questions.
