Dear Amy,

Please can you help me, as you might now women are not eligible to go into front line services for the armed forces, I want to go in for the marine commando service but I don't know how to go about it, due to being female and not being accepted into a man's role. Please can you help me as I feel that the ministry of defense are discriminating against women for our physical capabilities.

Many thanks,

Danielle

Danielle -

I agree that the military is being discriminatory -- and though I would prefer that no one go into the military, the fact that anyone has to means that everyone should have to. It seems only fair. I suggest writing letters to the defense department and also get others to do the same -- especially since the prospect of a draft keeps lingering, it would be good to get this out there now.

Good luck,

-- Amy
