I am looking for information from colleges around the country who might have a Women's Week or some other celebration of women during the fall or spring semesters. I have helped organize Women's Week at my school, and would like to see what other schools do. Our week is usually during Women's History Month or Sexual Assault Awareness Month. If you hear of any other colleges having this type of event, please let me know. - Angela

Thanks for your note. For the past 3-4 years there has been a day in late October named "National Young Women's Day of Action." This is initiated by students at Hampshire College and their Center on Public Policy, so please contact them about this year's activities.

For the past two years, the YWCA has also initiated a "Week Without Violence," usually held the first or second week of October. Contact their national office in New York about what they have planned.

You might also keep checking our Upcoming Events page, as we often have postings of that kind. Good luck with your week and hopefully you all can join forces.
