I am a graduate student in Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia. I was wondering how you felt women are represented in the media (both print and broadcast). Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. Per your note, I'm sharing my thoughts--I think that women are underrepresented in the media as reporters, editors, writers and misrepresented as subjects. If we had more of the former, perhaps the latter would come more naturally. For more--you should read Caryl Rivers --Slick Spins and Fractured Facts and also Susan Faludi's Backlash. Also, contact FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting). They are based in New York City and they have a women's desk. Good luck
