Hello, my name is Elena. Currently, I am struggling to develop an administrative protocol for addressing sexual assault during an overseas program. However, I have not been able to find much information regarding rape of American students or tourists. I was hoping Feminist.com could help me by sending me information or by referring me to persons or organizations that would be knowledgable about this topic. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. For developing a protocol on sexual assault, I recommend that you contact those organizations working directly on the issue of sexual assault:

  1. National Clearinghouse on Marital and Date Rape, 2325 Oak Street, Berkeley, CA 94708; (510) 524-1582; [email protected]
  2. Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), 252 Tenth Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002; (202) 544-1034; hotline--(800) 656-HOPE; [email protected]
  3. Women's Law Project,125 S. 9th Street, #401, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
Also, I have found Robin Warshaw's book--I Never Called It Rape--very helpful.
