I need some direction where I can get involved. I can not accept that insurance companies cover a drug like Viagra, but won't cover an infertility drug like Clomid. I want to help change this gross inequity. Do you have any links to groups fighting for equality in medical coverage? Thank you, K. Miltimore

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM and for your frustration, which could lead to changing the current inequities with prescription drugs.

There are many people like you who are outraged that Viagra has managed to get covered, while the bulk of "women's medicines" remain uncovered. Those who are working closely on this issue include--Center for Reproductive Law & Policy and Planned Parenthood (Federation of American or perhaps your local affiliate). Contacting them will let you know their lobbying status as well as what they believe is/isn't possible.

Good luck -- and know that I'm in total agreement with you so I will do what I can, too.
