THE PROGRESSIVE

The Progressive magazine, founded in 1909, is one of the leading voices for peace and social justice in America. Featuring monthly columns by Barbara Ehrenreich and Molly Ivins, The Progressive also publishes poetry by Adrienne Rich and was home to June Jordan before she passed away in 2002. Kate Clinton writes a regular humor column for the magazine.

Anne-Marie Cusac is our prize-winning investigative reporter, and Ruth Conniff is the magazine's political editor. The Progressive has also recently interviewed Eleanor Smeal, Naomi Klein, Heidi Hartmann, and Louise Erdich, and in years past it has interviewed such artists as Alice Walker, the Indigo Girls, and Ani DiFranco.
