We believe that the power to make change rests with the individual consumer. Business and governments will not lead the way. Consumers will do it; they always do. When consumers globally decide to make the earth a priority, the priorities of businesses and governments will shift. To save the Earth, we have to refresh the resources we borrow. Using Earth-friendly products in our daily lives helps; they are healthier for you and the planet. Learn to recognize them. Demand them. Buy them . . . if not from us, from someone else. If you do that consistently, markets and governments will move, and the Earth will rebound from the concerning negative trends.

We founded Green Ostrich because we noticed that the stores that we frequent do not have a lot of earth-friendly products. We also noticed that we were spending a lot of time and energy in our car driving to and from these stores,all of which consume a lot of energy. We noticed that internet retailers, by comparison, use a fraction of the energy used by a traditional retailer. So, we decided to create an online store that was completely dedicated to earth-friendly products to help spark a consumer movement that requires environmentally-sound solutions for our lives.

Why did we pick an ostrich? The ostrich is one of the most earth-friendly animals in the world. They typically live at least 40 years in the wild, and they are known to live as long as 70 years in captivity. Ostriches are also memorable; frankly, they are funny-looking. That was enough for us. We offer earth-friendly, durable, memorable products that replace common disposable products. So, our products and an ostrich have a lot in common.
