In the mid 1990’s, David, Lynette Culver’s son-in-law asked her to design a hemp washcloth and other bath items. He was the sales manager for American Hemp Mercantile in Seattle and they were looking for new products. Lynette found and purchased a manual-knitting machine that would handle hemp yarn, the washcloth, a soap bag and a back scrubber were designed and Cusp Natural Products was born. Problem….. by the time the designs were ready, AHM had done a business shift and had decided to no longer carry finished products.
Lynette did not find David to be quite as sympathetic to her problem as she hoped he would be, instead he simply said “Guess you’ll have to get on the phone and start selling this stuff, Mom.” Easy enough for him to say, but that is precisely what she did. She started with hemp stores, expanded rapidly to green stores and after seeing hemp products in her natural food market stumbled through her first few calls to similar stores, not even knowing to ask for a ‘bath buyer’. Fortunately, Lynette learned quickly and now sells extensively to the natural food and health food industry nationwide.
Cusp Natural Products has also shifted from its sole focus as a manufacturer and now wholesales products from some of the most reputable environmental manufacturers in the United States.
They have an extensively trained work family from the East to the West Coast with strict quality control and a proven history of superior customer service. Both wholesale and retail sales are welcome and the Cusp office staff love to talk to their customers. Please feel free to call.
