| Classy Nature was created by three friends to provide stylish, ecologically friendly clothing and accessories for other women and their families. Too often, fashions characterized as green or eco-friendly are uncomfortable and lack any modern style or elegance. At Classy Nature, we offer trendy and attractive pants, dresses, t-shirts, shirts, jackets, skirts, and linens which are constructed of earth friendly fabrics such as wool, organic cotton, bamboo, soy and hemp.
We are committed to helping our customers protect the earth by providing natural, pesticide free products made of renewable resources. Our goal is to help our customers invest in their good health by avoiding fabrics which may be harmful to our families and destructive to our planet, while maintaining our standards of style.
Classy Nature is located in the picturesque town of Snohomish, Washington, nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, 30 minutes north of Seattle and 15 minutes from Puget Sound. The Seattle area is well known for its green philosophy and eco-friendly lifestyle, while maintaining its cutting-edge influence in fashion, music and technology.
Our Fabrics
Bamboo
Bamboo is a relatively new fabric made of a very sustainable resource. The majority of bamboo textiles originate in Asia. Global interest in utilizing bamboo as a source of textiles is developing rapidly. Bamboo grows rapidly and can produce a harvestable crop within 3 years. Its impact on the environment is minimal and it is a truly sustainable resource. Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial, meaning it is relatively pest and pathogen free without the use of harmful chemicals. Bamboo clothing provides a natural bacteria barrier, wicking away moisture from the body and releasing it rapidly in the air. It is cooler than cotton to wear.
Bamboo clothing is surprising soft and luxurious. The fee of the fabric is similar to silk and it drapes beautifully for a natural and flattering look. Bamboo clothing is very wrinkle resistant.
Soy
Soy fabric is a byproduct of the production of tofu and other soy-based products. Like bamboo, clothing made of soy has a feeling of silkiness, but without the tendency to wrinkle. It is cooler than cotton or linen and has a fluid drape. It is completely biodegradable, and can be simply be converted to compost.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemicals. Its growth is achieved by using biologically based growing methods combined with sustainable farming. Organic cotton production does not include the use of synthetic and potentially damaging fertilizers or pesticides. In order to be labeled organic, the production must strictly abide by the guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture National Organic Program.
