Bambino Land is a company founded and run by Jessica Burros — a mother of two young boys, living in a small town on the Mississippi River. In 2007 Jessica was inspired after the birth of her second child and made a New Years resolution to create a home-based working environment while doing the things she loved; designing, sales, marketing and networking. “It’s been the most rewarding working experience of my life,” says Jessica, “I love connecting with other woman entrepreneurs as well as many customers from coast to coast and other retailers from around the globe!”
Bambino Land offers many organic and eco-friendly items for mothers, infants and toddlers. Most are designed by women, and many are made in the U.S.A. You will find eco-friendly items made from organic cotton, bamboo, wool, soy fabrics — even recycled materials. Brands that aim to have minimal negative impact on the environment, use sustainable materials and support fair trade and ethical labor practices.
The Name Bambino Land
“I always called my boys ‘my little bambinos’ …when you have children you think about their future and how you can make it the best it can be. You realize the impact that our actions have on the environment and the earth. I thought of the land we live on — my children are the 4th generation to live in this home and on the land that was their great grandparents land — it’s a pretty uncommon thing now days.”
Bambino Land’s Charity - Ghar Sita Mutu, A House with a Heart
Bambino Land is proud to support Ghar Sita Mutu, a home for abandoned children, training program for destitute women and outreach program for needy families in Kathmandu, Nepal. “Ghar Sita Mutu was founded by a family friend and I have relatives that have traveled there. They are doing great things to help the women and children in Kathmandu. We sell handmade puppets created by the women and donate annually to help fund their programs.”
