I am doing a paper for a first year political science course. The assignment is to chose one policy and analyze it from four perspectives; liberal, conservative, social democracy and feminism. I have chosen the Pay Equity Act of 1984 (Bill C-64). Is there any literature which may be of use to me? Thank you in advance for your time and help. Sincerely, Pamela

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. For information re: the Pay Equity Act, you should contact the U.S. Department of Labor's Women's Bureau, which should have information about resources on this subject. I would also look through magazines circa 1984-- particularly Ms. Magazine--to see what was happening in the media. Not that the media is the most reliable source, but they are a start. Also 9to5, National Association of Working Women should have information and also you might try the National Committee on Pay Equity.
