Politics

Hello my name is Daniel and I am studying a politics degree in Liverpool England. One of the modules is Women in Politics, the module is keyed towards British politics, but I wish for my essay to be different and do US politics.

I have contacted your site along with others in the hope that you could provide me some hard facts and figures on the elections over the past four presidential administrations (four may be too much, as many as you can manage), these figures should be how many men and women ran for each seat and who won and by how much. If you can be of any help I will be very grateful - Daniel

The information you need/want is available through the National Women's Political Caucus. They put out a newsletter last year with all of this information, I think beginning in 1992. Thanks and good luck - Amy
