I am in the process of researching the topic of exclusion of daughters from family trusts and family business on the basis of gender alone. I would appreciate any information that you could send my way, including feminist attorneys that might deal with these types of situations. Thanks for your help.

I am familiar with how women are excluded from family trusts, etc.. In fact, Gloria Steinem wrote an article related to this topic: "The Masculinazation of Wealth" in her book Moving Beyond Words. I suggest you take a look at that.

Also I think this is topic that might be covered by the "Chronicle on Philanthropy", so they may have related articles. You also might be interested in Katherine Graham's biography, in which she writes about this.

You should also contact Resourceful Women, an organization based in San Francisco, which works to organize women in this way. You can contact them at:

3543 18th Street, #9
San Francisco, CA 94110
(415) 431-5677

There are also several city and state based women's foundations working on organizing women in a similar manner. You want to check out what is available in your area.
