I would like an opinion on "Does pornography degrade women and violate the respect for persons". Please answer by supporting your answer from a philosophical standpoint by stating which theory is represented, such as belief in kantian respect or utilitarianism, etc. This opinion need to be completed by Gloria Steinem or a well credited person with an M.D. or PHD degree. Thank you, Shay

Thanks for your note. Because I am not "a well credited person with an M.D. or PHD degree," I'm afraid I can't help you. For Gloria Steinem's views on pornography, you should read her article "Erotica v. Pornography" which can be found in her book Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions. For other opinions, I recommend Prof. Diana E.H. Russell, who is a professor at U.C. Berkeley and has written extensively on this issue, including "Making Violence Sexy."
