I recently lost my mother; she passed away on Easter Sunday and since it happened I've been desperately seaching the web for some kind of support group from other women who have experienced such a loss. I would truly be grateful if someone out there could be helpful in locating such a group on the Internet; I believe it might help relieve some of the confusion and pain that I am feeling over her sudden death. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. There is an organization based in New York City called Motherless Daughters. I know that they are a support network for "daughters" in similar situations. They have a national newsletter and I think small gatherings of people in different cities. You can contact them at 212-614-8041 to find out more about them.

I hope this helps--and leads to the type of support that you need.
