I was wondering if you could help me find info on the role of women in the Passover story. Passover is a Jewish holiday. - Sara

Dear Sara - There is a book by E.M. Broner - The Telling. The book talks about a feminist seder that she has participated in over the past 21 years. She also includes a feminist Hagadda at the end. - Amy

Other ideas from members of FEMINIST.COM:

1) Letty Cottin Pogrebin, a well-known feminist Jewish writer and co- founder of Ms. Magazine, has written extensively on the Jewish woman's experience. You may want to look in the library/bookstore for some of her work.

2) Do a Boolean search of "Passover" and "women" at Alta Vista or Excite and see if you come up with anything.

Hope this helps. Good luck and have a good Passover!
