Hi,

I am a counselor for a domestic violence shelter and I am doing a presentation on the media and violence. I am using T.V., movies, music and video games. Do you have any suggestions on where I can find movies (as far back as we can) depicting violence? I would like to use some of the more popular movies.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Yola

Yola,

I would recommend the work of Gail Dines and also Jean Kilbourne. They work with visual images, not sure about movies specifically. Also, The Family Violence Prevention Fund, might have a curriculum based on this same assumption. Good luck,
