I edit a monthly newsletter for Seacoast NOW, a New Hampshire chapter of National Organization for Women with 150 members. We plan to allot some space every month to global feminism. For example, last month we wrote about rape of women in Peru and listed names and addresses for our members to write to supporting the women's groups who are trying to obtain justice for these women and to change the discriminatory laws. Any information you can send to me would be given consideration in our newsletter and also at our monthly meetings. Thank you. Diane

Thanks for your note. To help with your newsletter, you might want to check out Ms. Magazine. They have an active international section. There is also Equality Now, and Sisterhood is Global, which you can learn more about at Feminist.com.

There is also the Global Fund for Women based in Menlo Park California, the International Women's Tribune Center in New York City, and MADRE (121 West 27th Street, Room 301; New York, New York 10001). All of these organizations do great work on an international level and are very much informed about "what is happening in the world beyond the U.S."
