Hello, I recently had a friend ask me about feminist organizations in the State of New Mexico, as she is considering moving there. Unfortunately, she was not very specific, and did not even name any cities or areas of interest.

Would you have any information for me, or perhaps point me in the right direction as to where I start my search? Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance, R.V.

Thanks for your note and for making sure that your friend is making the right decisions. I would suggest that you/she contact the National Organization for Women--they surely have chapters in the state of New Mexico. (The National number is: 202-331-0066.) Ideally, they are linked up with other groups in the area that focus on women's issues. Also, most universities are likely to have feminist groups. Good luck--to you and your friend.
