I have a request regarding Women's Studies at colleges and universities. I am going to be giving a brief history of the development of the study of gender (particularly WS) in the U.S. as part of a extension program sponsored by the Hokkaido University of Education in Sapporo, Japan.

I would like to include some statistics regarding the number of Women Studies, Gender Studies programs, students, faculty, journals, etc. currently in the U.S. If you have any information I would be really pleased to receive it. Getting my hands on such resources from Japan has been more difficult than I had imagined. Thank you in advance. Alfredo

Thanks for your note to Feminist.com. To obtain the information that you are looking for re: women's studies programs, etc.., I suggest that you contact: the National Women's Studies Association--(301) 403-0525. I hope this helps and good luck with your work.
