Feminism

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am aware that Feminism is the ability to make a choice concerning individuality; meaning a man or woman can choose to go work or stay at home with families. Is abortion viewed in the same light? What about plastic surgery? Another question I have is this: how do the ideas of Feminism fit into the role of Christianity and the Church in the United States and the World?

Thank you for listening. Any answers you can provide are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Michael

Dear Michael,

Yes, feminism supports the right for each individual to make informed choices about their lives -- for some that might be to have plastic surgery and for others it might be not to have an abortion -- and yes, feminists exist in every religion, even if they have a constant struggle. Feminists are trying to change it from the inside.

Good luck,

-- Amy
