The Feminist.com website was launched in 1995 to facilitate mobilization and communication on issues critical to women. For the last 10 years, it has been a critical resource on the Internet for people working to empower and sustain girls and women. We serve as a library, providing free and easy access to information and resources on issues affecting girls and women, including the battle for reproductive rights, the fight to end violence against women, and the struggle to obtain economic and workplace equality for women. We provide a website home for women’s organizations without the resources to create or maintain their own. We promote activism on national and global women’s issues, by connecting individuals to organizations serving women, and by promoting—through the website and extensive mailing list—action alerts which direct people to opportunities for making positive change.
